And what we can do about it

My next guest is Dr. Randy Paterson. He knows that life is inherently complex and challenging for all of us and that we can – and should – expect to run into situations and problems that seem confusing or difficult to navigate. The current Coronavirus pandemic is a classic example.

He is a psychologist and director of Changeways Clinic, a private psychotherapy service in Vancouver, BC Canada. He helps people find their unique strengths and talents so they can navigate unfamiliar or difficult territory and develop new knowledge, skills, and abilities to move forward. He also presents lectures and workshops around the world on mental health policy, cognitive behavioral therapy, depression and anxiety disorders, and the failure-to-launch phenomenon.

He is author of five books, and in this episode we talk about two of them today that focus on how we make ourselves miserable and what we can do about that.
