What the outside of a horse can do for the inside of a man.
Winston Churchill once said – There is nothing like the outside of a horse, for the inside of a man. Not bad for a Brit.
My next guest is a cowboy and knew he wanted to be one when he was 16 years old. For the last 30 years, Scott DePaolo has run the 3,600 acre Butte Creek ranch in Oregon for the Boy Scouts where he teaches horsemanship and lifemanship. He can quote Maslow, or Beecham, or the Scouting law and apply them in the appropriate dose to help just about anyone live a little better. And he has that cowboy drawl that’s so easy on the ears.
In this episode we explore life from the back of a horse and see what riding one can do for the inside of a man.
